We met through the age old tradition of a dating app. We had chatted and texted back and forth for a couple of weeks before finally meeting in person. We shared drinks, stories, and our love for completely different genres of music. We honestly were very different from each other, but our appreciation and understanding of those differences have helped build our relationship. Since that first date, we have been together every day since.
It was a random Thursday that I had work off and Zachary was scheduled. The weekend before, we were in San Francisco and I was going to propose then but every time I thought about it, the moment didn't seem right. I held the ring in my pocket the entire weekend without his knowing (for the most part). Later that week on Thursday, I decided the best place to ask him was in the intimate setting of our home, with just the two of us. I was waiting on one knee in the living room when he came home. I simply asked, "Will you be my husband?" And he nodded with tears in his eyes.
