Like all great modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. It was a regular night, August 11th, 2019—he was sitting in a Taco Bell parking lot with his groomsman Julian & my bridesmaid Jordyn when fate (& Tinder) intervened. From the moment we matched, the conversation never stopped. He was persistent—insisting that we meet in person as soon as possible. As luck would have it, he worked at Best Buy, right across the street from the mall where I worked. His shift ended before mine, & we agreed he would come to see me. I showed my manager a picture of him so she could be on the lookout. Her response? “Sara, he’s walked by about 50 times already.” Turns out, he was too nervous to come in—something that only made him even cuter in my eyes. Eventually, he worked up the courage to step inside, & after an adorably awkward first meeting, he texted me the second he left, asking me out on our first date. We chose axe throwing & sushi—an unexpected but perfect start to something amazing. In just two weeks, we had three amazing dates, & for our fourth, he wanted to do something extra special. He made dinner reservations at Riverwinds & met me there with roses. After dinner, we took a walk by the water, where we sat on a bench, talked, laughed, & shared our first kiss. That’s when he officially asked me to be his girlfriend—on August 23rd, 2019—& from that moment on, our adventure truly began. The rest, as they say, is history. ❤️
