There are a lot of fun shops, boutiques, and restaurants on the main drag of downtown Jackson to explore. They run along W Michigan Ave and around the corner on N Jackson St. These few blocks downtown have fun local shops that are great to spend your free time in. Below you will find some of our personal favorites in this area!
In the old downtown of Jackson, MI there are painted murals on many of the walls that are part of Bright Walls of Jackon festival that is held every year. Many artists from around the world come to paint murals here. Through this website you can go through a guided tour of these murals throughout downtown and stop at fun shops along the way!
Grab a cup of coffee and relax in the upstairs lounge area before partying at the reception! Or grab a cup and walk around downtown and look at the murals. Either way it is a great place to enjoy a good drink.
Looking for a place to grab a drink before the reception? Check out our favorite brewery in town Grand River Brewery and grab a delicious appetizer and a cold beer on tap or one of their amazing cocktails.
If you like hunting and the outdoors check out one of Zach's favorite sporting goods stores right across the street from the Grand River Brewery. Family owned and operated; this sporting goods store is fun to look around and a great place to get lost in.
Grab a quick snack at a local favorite! Located right downtown, City Crepes offer real authentic French style crepes in savory and sweet options. They are a great little treat to enjoy in your free time.
Right next to City Crepes, you will find Becca's two personal favorite stores! The extensive Antique store is fun to get lost in for a few hours as well as the Collective Market Company which has a beautiful collection of curated boutique items.
One of the oldest chocolatiers in Michigan, Gilbert's chocolates is a long-standing business in the Jackson area! These delicious chocolates are so good to get as a souvenir while you are in Jackson, although they may not last long! ;)
