We both grew up going to State 4-H Camp every summer, crossing paths here and there through mutual friends. Over the years, those friendships began to overlap more, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2018 that our story truly began. That year, Zach was about to start his senior year of high school and Maycee was heading into her junior year. After a week at State 4-H Camp, we spent more time together at the Delaware State Fair, where Zach made an effort to truly get to know Maycee. When the fair came to an end, he wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Zach invited Maycee to Bethany Beach, where he introduced her to what is now his family’s mini golf and ice cream shop. That day turned into a special memory we’ll never forget—because it was the day Zach asked Maycee to be his girlfriend. From that moment forward, we’ve been writing our story together. Over the years, we’ve experienced so many chapters: high school dances, senior nights, and the bittersweet challenge of college 12 hours apart. We learned how to support each other through distance, celebrate milestones big and small, and grow as individuals while staying deeply connected. Now, we’re both back home in Delaware, cherishing every moment we get to spend together. Our love has only grown stronger, and we’re beyond grateful for the journey that has brought us here. We can’t wait to see what the future holds—and to celebrate this next chapter with all of you by our side.
