On St. Patrick’s Day, Madison went out with friends and—true to form—was the last one to leave the bar. The next morning, she woke up to a text from a number she didn’t recognize: “Hey, I received a call from this number last night. Who is this?” Still half-asleep, she replied: “Uhhh I have no clue lol you’re saved in my phone. This is Madison Besio.” A moment later, he responded: “That’s funny, as your number came up saved in my phone and I have been racking my brain to see where we met. This is Zach Tomblin - did we meet on a dating app?” Zach’s first thought was, “Who is this girl and why is she randomly calling me on Saint Patrick’s Day…?” Right after that came the internal prayer: “Please don’t be weird, please don’t be weird — please oh please be cute.” And, much to his relief, that is exactly what he got. From that strange, perfectly-timed exchange, they started talking. And talking. Every day. Zach found himself wanting more time with the cute, funny girl behind the mystery number — so much so that after they spent four hours at the Fort Worth Zoo for their first meet, he broke his own rule about spacing out dates. They ended up grabbing food not long after, and then went their separate ways before deciding they wanted to keep hanging out later that night, which for him was practically unheard of. What Zach didn’t know then was that he had reached Madison at one of the hardest points in her life — a moment when she felt hopeless, unseen, and convinced she might never be loved the way she longed for. But through a shared mystery contact, an unexpected text, and a little St. Patrick’s Day luck, he showed up anyway… and he stayed. Zachary and Madison now share a beautiful home together in Godley, Texas, with their four fur babies: Nala, Winston, Lucky, and Tucker.
