How We Met

Lucy and Zack were introduced by their dear and late friend Chris Brubaker in the Winter of 2013 in Boone, North Carolina. Their friendship quickly blossomed as Lucy moved to Wyoming to work on a ranch. They talked everyday while Lucy lived out west. Once back in the south she and Zack were inseparable. Their undeniable love for exploring the outdoors and live music has taken them to some of the most beautiful places in the world and given them life long friendships. Lucy and Zack are so excited to spend a weekend in the Mountains with family and friends! See y'all in October!

The Proposal

Zack is an avid outdoorsman and wanted to spend his 30th birthday in Montana fly fishing the Madison River. So, Lucy and Zack loaded up their 4runner with their amazing two dogs, Bear and Isabelle and headed North through Wyoming to Ennis, Montana. They stayed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming the first night and watched a beautiful snow storm roll through the Teton Mountains. Zack originally wanted to take Lucy up a mountain pass but the snow storm quickly changed that plan. They traveled passed Zack's original "spot" and headed through Idaho, up to Montana. It was one of the most beautiful drives either one of them had experienced in their life. Massive snow capped mountains and deep valleys made for a beautiful landscape on the way to Ennis, Montana. Zack decided to stop about an hour away from the lodge to check the river and let their dogs out to play. Lucy and Zack were down on the edge of the Madison River when Zack asked Lucy to marry him. They spent the next week fly fishing and soaking up every minute of being newly engaged.
