Bride & Groom
Need we say more?
Maid of Honor
Nakita is my younger sister and the sun to my snowflake, iykyk. While we didn’t always see eye to eye growing up (I like to say everything changed once she hit puberty and finally understood my pain), she has since become one of my closest friends. She is fiercely loyal, effortlessly funny, and the kind of person you can always count on—especially if that involves grabbing a coffee and providing much-needed human interaction. I admire her perseverance, her strength, and the way she shows up for the people she loves. I’m so lucky to not only call her my sister, but also my friend.
Best Man
Codi is my younger brother and my best man. He’s family-first, holding down the home front - his favorite part of any trip is getting back to his own bed. He’s steady and reliable, and I always know what I’m getting with him. He’s also the guy I want next to me when it’s time to chug a beer, and I’m usually cracking up when we’re together. He’s more than just my brother, he’s one of my best friends, and there’s no one else I’d want standing next to me on this day.
Bridesmaid
I’ve known Harley since we were five years old - our moms were best friends in high school, so you could say this friendship was kismet from the start. From sitting side by side in the classroom, to spending summers in her basement, we’ve been making memories together for as long as I can remember. And somehow, those adventures only got bigger - whether it was driving across the country to celebrate a birthday or ringing in the New Year in Amsterdam, it has truly never been a dull moment. No matter how much time passes, we always pick up exactly where we left off. That kind of friendship is rare, and I’m so lucky to have had Harley by my side through every stage of life.
Groomsman
James is a story of discipline and results. He sets goals, puts in the work, and delivers. He’s like Elon in the making - just with a conscience. Driven, focused, and always building toward something bigger. I’m proud to have him as part of the family as my future brother. We’re both pushing forward, and I’m looking forward to building and running alongside him. One day I might even catch up...but probably not.
Bridesmaid
From resident advisor to best friend, Carolyn is someone who came into my life and instantly became irreplaceable. Some friendships take time but ours was the kind where the connection was immediate. With Carolyn, I can always be my most authentic self, and that’s something I treasure deeply. She has a natural warmth and kindness that makes her a true pleasure to be around, and she brings that same care and thoughtfulness to everyone in her life. Her strength and tenacity are incredibly inspiring, and I admire her more than she probably knows. I feel so lucky that what started in such a small moment turned into such a meaningful and lasting friendship - and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this day.
Groomsman
Jamal is one of my oldest friends. He’s Jovan’s twin, although you wouldn’t know it just by looking at them. He’s been there through some of the toughest points in my life. When I call, he picks up...or gets back to me within a week. He uses humor to keep me in check and push me forward. He also has no problem telling his job when he’ll show up - it’s on his schedule, not theirs. He sets the tone in our group and people follow it.
Bridesmaid
First, a shoutout to my cousin for finding such an incredible woman. The first moment I laid eyes on Bree I thought...who is this girl and why does she think she’s good enough for my cousin? About 30 minutes later, I realized I had actually found the love of my life (sorry Zack). Since then, we’ve shared so much together: hikes, beer outings, Halloween parties, trips to NYC, and everything in between. One of the greatest joys has been watching her grow into an amazing mom to two beautiful children, all while being an incredible friend. Bree is someone who makes life more fun, more meaningful, and always a little brighter.
Groomsman
What started as a random connection and turned into a life long friendship. He’s the one staying young for all of us. He makes the most of whatever’s in front of him. He could also sell you your own pen...and you’d thank him for it. While goofy at times, he's genuine and invests in friendships that make each other better. I'm glad to be one of those friends.
Bridesmaid
Nancy is my fiercest friend from law school. When she first showed me around the school, she wasn’t so sure about me - but I like to think of myself as a bit of a barnacle: once I latch on, I’m practically unremovable. Eventually, she had no choice but to love me. She’s the kind of friend who will enthusiastically say “hell yeah” to a questionable idea and end up right next to you for the consequences. Beyond the adventures, Nancy is an incredibly strong woman who I deeply admire. I feel so lucky to have her in my life, and of course, I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side.
Groomsman
Jeff is a hardass. Failure isn’t part of his plan. We met by chance while working in Georgia and ended up as training partners. He helped me achieve one of my greatest challenges - finishing an Ironman - during which we watched National Treasure on repeat while training. What started there turned into eight years of consistent endurance work. He sets the pace and doesn’t let it drop. He’s also a family man and more thoughtful than he lets on. He lives somewhere without a grocery store around for 2.5 hours, which explains the amount of time he spends cycling.
Officiant
Shweta is the Meredith to my Christina, the Elphaba to my Glinda, the Aldrin to my Scherbatsky - the kind of once-in-a-lifetime friend who somehow manages to be your perfect counterpart in every way. She adopted me during our time working together at the Massachusetts District Court, and I truly wouldn’t have had it any other way. From the very beginning of Zack and my relationship, she has been right there...after, of course, confirming he wasn’t planning to murder me when he arranged a surprise Valentine’s Day sushi dinner in my apartment. Shweta is always ready to dive into the weeds, especially when it comes to spirited (and occasionally controversial) conversations with Zack. She brings thoughtfulness, humor, and just the right amount of edge to everything she does. So really, there was no better choice - not just to stand by our sides, but to officiate this next chapter of our lives.
Mother of the Bride
My mom, Jamie, is the perfect balance of warmth, support, and strength. She has always been protective of her children, while also knowing exactly when it was time to give us the push we needed to go out and find our own way. No matter how far we go, she’s always been our home base - the place we can return to for guidance, reassurance, and unconditional love. She keeps me grounded in the best way and, over the years, has become not just my mom, but one of my very best friends. Whether we’re getting pedicures, sharing a glass of wine, or traveling internationally just the two of us, she’s the person I always want by my side. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a Jamie in their life, and I’m endlessly grateful that she’s mine.
Mother of the Groom
My mom, Emily, is consistently optimistic and steady under pressure. She’s the person who showed me how to operate as an adult...how to handle responsibility, stay level, and keep moving forward. A lot of how I communicate comes from her - direct, to the point, and calm. She’s also always had long-term faith in my ability to take on whatever comes my way.
Father of the Bride
My dad... He's my tax accountant, advisor, and trusted confidant - all roles he takes on with endless patience and care. I truly can’t say enough about how much he means to me. He has always been there to guide me through life’s challenges, both the real ones and the ones I may have built up in my head, all the while offering steady support, thoughtful advice, and reassurance when I need it most. Like my mom, he’s also one of my favorite travel companions, always up for an adventure and someone I can count on no matter where we are in the world. I feel incredibly lucky to have a dad who shows up for me in every way, and I’m so grateful for everything he’s done to help shape the person I am today.
Father of the Groom
Tony came into my life and quickly became a second father. A few poignant experiences and years of being around him has helped cultivate the traits I admire most in myself. Tony has made it a core part of his life mission to bring our families together into one and I'm grateful for that effort. Plus he's taught me a thing or two about whiskey and woodworking and that's pretty cool.
Bubble Master
Ask me why I'm the Bubble Master Ashley is my cousin and one of the most energetic, friendly, and adventurous people you’ll ever meet. She brings a contagious excitement to everything she does, and being around her is guaranteed to make any moment more fun. Zack and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to help bring the energy to our wedding day. We’re so lucky to have her by our side for such an important moment.
Usher
Jovan...Jamal’s older twin...by one whole minute, which he won’t let anyone forget. If you spend a few minutes with Jovan, you’ll get it, he’s the spiritual one. Service to others isn’t something he talks about, it’s just how he lives day to day. He's always been active in the community and during one of the toughest times and loss a family can experience, he remained a source of strength to his family. We’ve been close since high school, and that’s carried well into adulthood. He has a way of showing up with the right words at the right time. A lot of the bigger steps I’ve taken in life trace back to his encouragement.
Usher
If you know Bryan, you know he’s been operating on an early schedule his whole life - born on a farm where roosters had him up at 3 a.m., and somehow that stuck even after moving to the states at six. He’s the risk-conscious one of the group, the one you want around when things could go sideways. He keeps us grounded, calls things out early, and keeps everyone out of trouble, most of the time. We talk every Monday, no matter what. He’s one of the few people who stays consistent like that. When I start getting ahead of myself, Bryan’s the one I go to. He levels things out, adds perspective, and keeps me on track. We’ve built a lot of trust over the years, and had a lot of laughs along the way.
