In December 2022, Zach had just started the Police Academy, and the monotony of the death by PowerPoint presentations was taking its toll. Then, one day, Jordan and one of her co-workers came to the Academy to teach. For Zach, it was love at first sight (or so he says); for Jordan, it was another day at work...with a cute boy in the crowd. The class ended without either of them approaching each other. Then, near the end of the Police Academy, Jordan came in again to teach another class, and this time, Zach took his chance. He was in the front row and knew he couldn't miss the opportunity to talk to her. Zach pretended to forget his password so that he would get the chance to charm Jordan and, well, that did not work as well as he thought; he typed in the wrong password in front of her and she said the reason it was not working was due to "user error." Zach left that day feeling defeated, but still had hope that he would have the chance to redeem himself again soon. However, the Lord had other plans. For about one and a half years, they had no contact, but Zach and Jordan still remembered each other. Then in June 2024, Zach's dad, Jason, was at Jordan's boss's house to do some electrical work. Jason had brought up how he had been trying to get Zach to date Jordan, and the official "Operation Jordan Reeser" plan was born. Unbeknownst to Zach, Jordan was fully aware of the plan, so when the fateful day came for him to ask her out, he was SUPER nervous. He went up to her office with an iced chai latte to sweeten the deal and smoothly stated, "a little birdy told me you like chai." With that charming opener, he did in fact get her number, and as they say, the rest is history.
