Just as all great love stories start, we met at Publix. I was the “New” Office Staff and Zachary was a Front Service Clerk (Bagger). We instantly hit it off and began a friendship. The summer of 2019 consisted of MANY beach trips with the Pub Club, but one in particular left Zach and I having to carpool together. The whole drive was full of bad singing to 2008 Emo/Punk songs and so much laughter. To this day we both say THAT was the day we knew we had found our person. You would think that’s where we got together and decided to spend the rest of our lives together- but no. We both persued other relationships and I moved to Gainesville and transferred stores. Fast forward to November 2019. I decided to go back to my home store in Oakleaf and my first shift back I got to work with my favorite mop-headed ginger. I was back for 48 hours and after closing the store down with Zachary I received a text message at 12:43am from him. It was truly poetic. It was everything a girl wants to hear in the middle of the night! “Hey.” That text led us to start hanging out on our own and spending just about every day together. After nine days of CONSTANT conversation we both decided we wanted to see what amazing journey we could go on together. Three years and two fur babies later and we’re on this journey for life.♥️
We were on a camping trip with his family and the drinks were rampant. The night of September 5th I drunkenly told Zach he was who I was going to marry. I guess that’s all he needed, because the next morning he asked me to go out on the golf cart with him. That’s totally normal camping behavior and I didn’t think anything of it. He took me on a trail we hadn’t been on before and stopped the cart. I still had no idea what was happening. Maybe he saw a bird or something? He got out of the cart and looked at me and that’s exactly when I knew what was going on. He asked me to be his “Stinky” (it’s our pet name. Don’t ask) forever. I immediately said “Yes!” But was also convinced he was playing a really mean prank on me. After THREE DAYS of questioning him on it, I finally believed him. It’s not a fancy story, but it’s our story and I love it. ♥️
