Yes, there will be the option for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Please specify upon beginning the buffet.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be parking at the venue in two large fields. Parking overnight is available at the venue, please pick up cars by noon on Sunday. There is a parking ramp near the Hilton hotel for guests that are using the shuttle but not staying at the hotel. Located at: 20 civic center plaza, Mankato, MN There is other parking options nearby as well.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle bus going to and from Hilton downtown Mankato hotel to the JR’s barn wedding venue. There will be a shuttle at 10:30 AM, and 2 PM to bring guests to the venue. And then a shuttle at 9:30 PM and 11 PM to bring guests back to hotel.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

There is a reception dinner at 7 PM on Friday the eighth for the wedding party. There will also be a brunch on Sunday the 10th for the family and anyone who wants to come get brunch and see gifts get opened.

How do I check in to my hotel when the ceremony starts before check-in??

Answer

We have spoken to the recommended hotels, they said to come in early and ask the front desk for whatever room is available for early check-in. They should have no problem getting people in ahead of check in time. Just do not leave it up to the last minute as it might take them a little time with shuffling things around to accommodate us.

4/20 friendly?? ONLY in the smoking area!!!

The venue has a strict no smoking policy- but has graciously allowed us to have a special smoking section!! There will be picnic tables and a tent with some goodies to share. PLEASE be respectful and don’t smoke anywhere else on the property. Violators will be asked to leave and fined. ** Please be sure anyone under 21 does not have access to the smoking area **
