Erin and Zachary met through mutual friends in 2020 - just weeks into Erin's senior year at East Carolina University, and Zachary's junior year. From the very beginning, their relationship has been defined by adventure. Sometimes this meant day trips to photograph wild black bears, or weekend getaways to the Outer Banks - and other times it meant supporting each other through one milestone in life after another. It takes a lot of love, patience, and encouragement to build a home in a new place. From watching Erin graduate college, to journeying through her career as a beginning elementary school teacher, Zachary has only become more resolved that this is the woman he wants to experience all of life's adventures with. On November 19th, 2022, Zachary brought Erin to the site of their first date, on the banks of Historic Bath, NC, and asked her if she would marry him. In the presence of a dear friend, with our families just out of sight, she set us both on our next great adventure with one word: yes. We are both blessed beyond measure, and look forward to marrying before God, family, and friends.
