Eleana and I plan is to travel to Rome for 8/29 from Washington DC. From there we rent a car and drive to Florence for the weekend of 8/30-8/31 to enjoy the city! Monday 9/1 we will finally be onsite at Fattoria Pagnana until the morning of 9/4. Our best suggestions would be for those of you traveling to Italy to look into flights to Florence (closest), Rome, or Milan (both about 3 hours travel time to Florence). Driving in Italy is possible along with some scenic train travel (much better than US train travel!) Most flights will be overnight into any of those 3 locations. Expect a tired day 1 and enjoyment to kick in on day 2. We will be happy to sync up with anyone who comes for the weekend leading into the festivities (both Eleana and I will have international data plans via cellphone). Eleana and I will depart Tuscany with family on 9/4 for a night in Rome, followed by a flight to Paris on 9/5. We have a room block about a mile from our villa at a BNB named Torrebianca.
