Question

What is a wedding callejoneada?

Answer

This will be a wedding parade through a local park to mark the start of our wedding weekend. We invite you to sing and dance with us to kick off the weekend. We would very strongly recommend not wearing high heels as a lot of the roads will be cobblestone and difficult to navigate.

While we love your children, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements and leaving the kids at home so that you can celebrate with us!

The wedding mass will begin promptly at four o'clock in the afternoon. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black-tie optional.

Question

How do you recommend navigating around San Miguel?

Answer

San Miguel de Allende is a very walkable city, making it an ideal destination for guests who enjoy exploring on foot. The city center is compact, and most of the major attractions, restaurants, shops, and cultural sites are within easy walking distance of each other. However, it's important to note that the streets can be narrow, and many are cobblestone, so wearing comfortable shoes is recommended. The walkable layout, combined with the city's charming streets and vibrant atmosphere, makes walking a delightful way to experience all that San Miguel has to offer.

Question

Are there taxis or ubers available in San Miguel de Allende?

Answer

For visitors to San Miguel de Allende, both taxis and Uber are available, though there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing between them. Taxis: Traditional taxis are widely available throughout the city, and you can easily hail one on the street or arrange one through your hotel. Fares are generally affordable, but it's recommended to confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey, as taxis do not always use a meter. Taxis are a convenient option for shorter trips around the city- be prepared to pay with pesos. Uber: Uber operates in San Miguel de Allende, offering a reliable and convenient alternative to traditional taxis. It can be particularly useful if you prefer to track your ride and fare through the app.
