Birmingham Botanical Gardens
We got engaged in the rose garden! Also check out the Japanese Garden, it's Zach's favorite area.
Moss Rock Preserve
Moss Rock is one of the many hiking trails around Birmingham. It offers huge rock formations immediately upon entering and is across the street from pizza and tacos.
Saturn & Satellite
One of Zach and Calli's first dates was at Saturn. Zach got tickets to see the Sun Ra Arkestra (space-themed jazz). Calli knew then, he was a keeper! Our friends at Domestique Coffee operate "Satellite". It's our favorite place to grab coffee and Hero doughnuts.
TrimTab Brewing Company
Our favorite brewery! If they have the 'Theory of Abundance' Hazy IPA, try it!

This beautiful plant/gift shop is next to Zach's old apartment. Most plants we own are from here.

If we want to go for a 3-mile hike to an overlook while staying within a 15 minute drive, Ruffner is the place!
Good People Brewing Company
Calli threw Zach a pizza birthday party here last year. Fun fact: Zach plays in a softball league against the Good People team (they're pretty good)
Alabama and Lyric Theatre
Beautiful, historic theatres from the 1920's. Drive by to see the marquee signs or schedule a tour. We love going to events at the Alabama and Lyric Theatres. We've seen numerous films and concerts here - Kacey Musgraves, Portugal.The Man, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Phantom of the Opera (Zach fell asleep), The Goonies, etc.
