When is the formal RSVP date?

RSVPs should be sent by January 11th, 2026.

Where is the wedding and reception?

Answer

Both the wedding and the reception are at Balmorhea, 33400 Wright RD., Magnolia, Texas 77355. The wedding will be held at the chapel on site and then cocktail hour will be on the back porch and inside the reception venue next to the chapel. Dinner and the reception to follow.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We regretfully cannot accommodate children at our wedding. We hope you will still be able to join us for this special occasion.

How can I get to the venue?

Answer

A few of the hotels listed may have a shuttle set up to and from the wedding venue. Uber and Lyft also service the wedding venue.

Where do we park if we are driving to the venue?

Answer

There is free parking at the venue, located right in front of the reception hall.

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?

Answer

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our travel page.

The closest airport is George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We ask that you wear formal attire such as a modest length maxi dress, floor length dress or dressy pant suit for women and slacks and a jacket preferably with a tie for men (no jeans are allowed at the venue). Service members are invited to wear the appropriate uniform for your branch of service.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash if you would like to tip the bartenders. There is also a no shot policy at our venue.

What will we be served to eat?

Answer

There will be a fun appetizer during cocktail hour and a full meal during the reception consisting of your choice of two main entrees (chicken and fish), two sides, a salad, and a roll.

Where should we bring/send wedding gifts?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to 20 Vallejo St., Goose Creek, SC 29445. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
