FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that all RSVPs are in by April 1st. You will RSVP right on this website once invitation are sent out.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unless your invitation explicitly states you may bring a plus one, we ask that you do not bring any uninvited guests with you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have chosen to have an adults only wedding, with a small number of close family children included in the wedding party. We ask that all other kids stay home so Mom and Dad can enjoy an evening out!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We do! Check out the Travel Tab for information about a hotel which has rooms blocked at a discounted rate.

Question

What is the preferred attire?

Answer

We are hosting a black tie optional event. For gentlemen this means a dark blue or black suit or tuxedo and for the ladies an elegant cocktail dress or floor length gown.

Question

Is the ceremony outdoors?

Answer

We hope so! The plan is to host the ceremony outside. The rain plan includes moving the ceremony indoors. Cocktail hour will also be outside if the weather permits.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception located in the same venue?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at the Buffalo History Museum.

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 5pm, so arriving at the venue 20 minutes early is a great idea so you can find the venue, get parking, and settle before the ceremony begins.

Question

Can I take photographs and video during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged. We have an amazing photographer to take care of capturing all the special moments, so please keep your phones away. Once you hit cocktail hour and beyond we have a QR code you can use to add to our wedding album!

Question

Is it open bar?

Answer

Yes, our doodle Murphy has graciously offered to sponsor our open bar.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our dinner will be family style, so please let us know about your food allergies well in advance so we can work with our caterer to ensure we have adequate options for you.
