This spot is always a place that Zach and I make sure to visit when we're in Marquette. From beautiful sunsets to walking/hiking trails to cliff jumping, this park makes for exciting visit. The park even has a road that goes around the entire island for those who would like to take in the views from inside their vehicle.
Sugarloaf is a very popular hiking spot in Marquette. It can be quite the hike to the top but the views are definitely worth it! Zach and I were able to see the Northern Lights together for the first time on top of the mountain!!
McCarty's Cove is a beautiful beach on the great Lake Superior. It has beautiful views and spectacular sunrises if you're willing to wake up early enough! This beach is just off of Lake Shore Blvd.
The Superior Dome is the largest wooden football stadium in the world. It is home to the NMU Wildcats football team. It is definitely worth it to check out during you're stay in Marquette.
Downtown Marquette has plenty of neat, locally owned shops to check out if you're feeling like shopping or just checking out the UP culture.
This is where our love birds met for the first met. A quick 0.5 mile walk across campus offers views of NMU's beautiful campus and an insight on student life which is a huge part of the culture of Marquette.
This is one of the Bride's favorite restaurants. We suggest the feta bread, it is delicious!
This is the Groom's favorite restaurant. This is also the location of the couple's first date. We suggest the three cheese ravioli or the fettuccine alfredo!
Lower Harbor is a nice, pet friendly park where you can take in the views of the lake and the Ore Dock. The park also has a playground, walking trails and plenty of history for the city of Marquette.
The Ore Dock is one of the couple’s favorite places to get a beer. The beer is brewed right in the building and is a wonderful place to hang out, have a beer and some complementary popcorn and take in the ambiance.
Mount Marquette Road will take to the top of Marquette Mountain which offers awesome views of Marquette and Lake Superior.
This is the Groom’s favorite place to mountain bike in Marquette. The trails vary in difficulty from beginner to most challenging if you’re interested in taking in the views from behind handle bars. Please note that the harder courses can be dangerous for riders who are not very experienced.
Dead River Falls offers hiking trails and waterfalls. Off of Forestville Road, Dead River Falls is off the beaten path near the Hydroplant. These hiking trails can be more on the difficult side so caution if deciding to go out for a hike!
One of the many coffee shops in Marquette. Delicious coffee and pastries for those looking for a treat!
One of the couple’s favorite places to eat for breakfast. 3rd street Bagel has a wide variety of bagel selections for a delicious breakfast/lunch.
Another wonderful place to get some delicious breakfast. The bride suggests the hot chocolate!!
