FAQsFAQs

Question

Do I need to book the cruise to attend the wedding?Do I need to book the cruise to attend the wedding?

Answer

Yes. Our wedding will take place aboard the Disney Wish, so guests will need to book a cabin on the sailing from April 2–5, 2027 to attend.

Question

Will you be upset if we can’t attend? Will you be upset if we can’t attend?

Answer

Absolutely not. We completely understand that traveling for a cruise wedding is a big commitment, and we know it may not be possible for everyone to attend. Please know that there is no pressure at all, and we truly appreciate the love and support from our friends and family whether you’re able to join us on the cruise or not. Your well wishes mean the world to us!

Question

How do I book the cruise? How do I book the cruise?

Answer

Please visit the Travel page on this website for booking instructions and how to contact our travel planner.

Question

How does seating work for the wedding ceremony? How does seating work for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony venue aboard the Disney Wish has limited seating available. While we don’t expect to go over our estimated guest count, seats will be reserved for immediate family and close friends, and once those seats are filled, additional guests may stand toward the back of the venue. Because seating is limited, we kindly recommend that guests with small children consider taking advantage of Disney’s complimentary kids clubs and childcare options during the ceremony, which offer fun and supervised activities for children of all ages. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and are excited to celebrate together!

Question

When should I book my cabin? When should I book my cabin?

Answer

We recommend booking as early as possible since cabins can sell out.

Question

What travel documents do I need? What travel documents do I need?

Answer

Guests will need either a valid passport OR an original birth certificate along with a government-issued photo ID to sail.

Question

What airport should I fly into? What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO), about 45 minutes from Port Canaveral. Guests can arrange transportation to the port by using ride-share services like Uber or Lyft, private shuttle companies, or Disney Cruise Line transfers (available for an additional fee).

Question

When should I arrive to the port? When should I arrive to the port?

Answer

Your assigned Port Arrival Time will be given during online check-in through the Disney Cruise Line website or Navigator App. We recommend arriving at your assigned arrival time and no later than about 90 minutes before the ship’s scheduled departure to allow enough time for boarding.

Question

When can I book excursions, spa treatments, or specialty dining? When can I book excursions, spa treatments, or specialty dining?

Answer

Activities can be booked 90 days before sailing through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or under “My Plans” on the Disney Cruise website. If you plan to book an excursion in Nassau, please keep in mind that our wedding ceremony will take place that day, so we recommend choosing activities that allow plenty of time to return to the ship.

Question

Is there childcare available on the ship?Is there childcare available on the ship?

Answer

Yes! Disney Cruise Line offers supervised kids clubs and nurseries for children of all ages. For the wedding ceremony, we kindly recommend that guests with small children consider booking childcare once onboard, as seating at the ceremony will be limited.

Question

Will there be a dress code for the wedding? Will there be a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our ceremony will be Resort Formal. We encourage guests to dress up while still keeping comfort in mind for a cruise setting. Please avoid overly casual attire such as swimsuits, flip flops, or gym clothing. The ceremony will take place indoors aboard the ship, but the weather in the Bahamas can be warm, so breathable fabrics are recommended.

Question

Do I need to bring cash?Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

Yes, for tipping room service and luggage handlers. Otherwise your stateroom key card is used for onboard purchases and will be linked to your payment method. I recommend purchasing a card lanyard prior to the cruise. These can be found on Amazon.

Question

Do I need to complete online check-in?Do I need to complete online check-in?

Answer

Yes. Online check-in must be completed through the Disney Cruise Line website or Navigator App before sailing.

Question

How do we confirm our attendance? How do we confirm our attendance?

Answer

Because our wedding will take place aboard the Disney Wish, guests will confirm their attendance by booking a stateroom on the April 2–5, 2027 sailing. To ensure your reservation is connected to our wedding group, please book your cruise through our travel planner or through the wedding cruise booking link listed on the Travel page. If you book your cruise independently through Disney Cruise Line, please make sure your reservation is linked to the Kelly/Green Wedding Cruise so it is included in the wedding guest list.

Question

Should I download the Disney Cruise Line app?Should I download the Disney Cruise Line app?

Answer

Yes! We recommend downloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before sailing. The app allows you to complete check-in, view your reservation, book activities, communicate with others once on board and see daily schedules once onboard.

Question

What should I pack for the cruise? What should I pack for the cruise?

Answer

Helpful items include comfortable walking shoes, casual daytime clothes, a portable fan for your stateroom, a small bag or backpack for excursions or port days, swimwear, sunscreen, a key card lanyard, sunglasses, a portable charger and a light jacket or sweater since parts of the ship can feel cool at night. We also like bringing a reusable cup for drinks on the ship. Pirate costumes and accessories are super fun to have for pirate night for all ages (yes, even the adults), which is usually night two of sailing and includes pirate fireworks at sea! And of course all your favorite Disney accessories!

Question

What should I bring for seasickness? What should I bring for seasickness?

Answer

If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend Bonine (available on Amazon). Many travelers find it helpful to begin taking it 1–2 days before sailing.

Question

What should I do on boarding day? What should I do on boarding day?

Answer

Arrive at the port during your assigned Port Arrival Time. Keep your passport and boarding documents in your carry-on bag. Pack swimwear and essentials in your carry-on since checked luggage may arrive later.

Question

Is there a fun cruise tradition I should know about? Is there a fun cruise tradition I should know about?

Answer

Yes! Many guests decorate their stateroom doors with magnets. Since cruise doors are metal, magnets make it easy to personalize your door and help spot your room in the hallway. Disney cruise magnets can easily be found on Amazon or Etsy. We have also enjoyed making DIY ones using small magnets found on Amazon and some hot glue, paint, etc.

Question

Can I bring alcohol onboard? Can I bring alcohol onboard?

Answer

Yes. Disney Cruise Line allows guests 21 and older to bring a limited amount of alcohol onboard on embarkation day. Each adult guest may bring either:• 2 bottles of wine or champagne (750 ml each) OR• 6 beers (12 oz each) Alcohol must be packed in your carry-on luggage, not checked luggage. Additional bottles may be purchased onboard or brought to dinner with a small corkage fee if opened in a restaurant. Policies can occasionally change, so we recommend checking the Disney Cruise Line website closer to sailing for the most up-to-date guidelines.

Question

How does luggage delivery work on embarkation day?How does luggage delivery work on embarkation day?

Answer

When you arrive at the cruise terminal, porters will collect your checked luggage and deliver it to your stateroom later in the day. Because luggage can take a few hours to arrive, we recommend packing essentials in your carry-on bag, such as medications, travel documents, swimwear, and anything you may need before dinner. It is customary to tip the porters in cash when dropping off your luggage. A common recommendation is $1–$2 per bag. Your stateroom will usually be ready in the early afternoon, and luggage is typically delivered to your room throughout the afternoon and early evening.

Question

What is a Muster Station? What is a Muster Station?

Answer

Before the ship departs, all guests are required to complete a mandatory safety drill, called the Muster Drill. This short safety briefing explains important emergency procedures and shows you where your assigned muster station is located. Your muster station is listed on your stateroom key card and in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Guests will check in at their muster station shortly after boarding and watch a brief safety video. Once everyone has completed the drill, the ship will be cleared to sail. This process is quick and easy, but it must be completed before the ship departs.

Question

Are there any must-see events on the cruise? Are there any must-see events on the cruise?

Answer

Yes! Disney Cruise Line offers incredible entertainment throughout the sailing. A few events we highly recommend not missing include: Sailaway Party – This celebration takes place on the pool deck shortly after the ship departs. It’s a fun way to kick off the cruise with music, characters, and lots of excitement. Broadway-Style Shows – Disney cruises feature amazing live theater productions performed in the ship’s main theater. These shows are included with your cruise and are a highlight for many guests. We highly recommend all three nights of shows, arrive early for best seating. Pirate Night & Fireworks at Sea – One of the most popular Disney cruise traditions! Many guests dress up for Pirate Night, and the evening ends with a deck party and fireworks over the ocean. The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App will show the daily schedule of entertainment so you can plan which events you’d like to attend.

Question

How does dining work on the cruise? How does dining work on the cruise?

Answer

Disney Cruise Line uses a system called rotational dining, which means guests rotate between different themed restaurants each night while keeping the same dining time and serving team throughout the cruise. Your dining time and restaurant schedule will be listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once onboard. Dining in the main restaurants is included with your cruise fare. There are also a few specialty dining restaurants available for an additional fee, such as Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté. These offer upscale dining experiences and can be reserved in advance through the Disney Cruise Line website or Navigator App once booking windows open. In addition to the main restaurants, the Disney Wish also offers several quick-service dining options and casual eateries around the ship, making it easy to grab breakfast, lunch, snacks, or late-night bites throughout the day.

Question

Is room service available on the cruise? Is room service available on the cruise?

Answer

Yes! Disney Cruise Line offers complimentary room service 24 hours a day. Most menu items are included with your cruise fare, making it a great option for breakfast in your room, a midday snack, or a late-night bite. A small cash tip for the crew member delivering your order is customary and appreciated. We highly recommend trying late-night room service at least once during the cruise — it’s one of our favorite Disney cruise traditions and the perfect way to end a fun night onboard!

Question

Will Wi-Fi or phone service be available while at sea? Will Wi-Fi or phone service be available while at sea?

Answer

Yes. Disney Cruise Line offers Wi-Fi internet packages for purchase while onboard. These can be purchased through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board the ship. Please note that regular cellular service is usually not available while the ship is at sea, and international roaming charges can be very high if your phone connects to maritime networks. Most guests choose to place their phones in airplane mode and use the ship’s Wi-Fi if needed. Even without Wi-Fi, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App still works onboard and allows you to view the daily schedule, check dining times, and communicate with others in your travel party through the app’s messaging feature.

Question

Are there luggage limits for the cruise? Are there luggage limits for the cruise?

Answer

Disney Cruise Line does not have strict luggage limits like airlines, but guests should pack responsibly and be able to manage their bags during travel. If you are flying to Orlando, please be sure to follow your airline’s luggage policies. We recommend bringing a carry on bag with necessities such as travel documents, passports, medications, a swimsuit, essentially anything you may need before getting your luggage delivered to your state room later in the day. On embarkation day, larger suitcases can be checked with the porters at the terminal and delivered to your stateroom later in the day.

Question

Are gratuities included on the cruise? Are gratuities included on the cruise?

Answer

Disney Cruise Line automatically adds daily gratuities to your onboard account to recognize the crew members who take care of you throughout the cruise. These gratuities are shared among your dining team and stateroom host. We love, leaving extra cash gratuity in the envelope provided during the last day of sailing for exceptional service. Crew members typically go above and beyond to make your sail as magical as possible, so we recommend showing them some extra appreciation if you can. The gratuities will appear on your final onboard statement, but guests may also adjust or add additional gratuities at Guest Services if they wish.

Question

How does debarkation work at the end of the cruise? How does debarkation work at the end of the cruise?

Answer

On the final morning of the cruise, guests will go through a process called debarkation, which is when everyone leaves the ship after returning to Port Canaveral. The night before, guests will receive instructions in their stateroom with their assigned debarkation group and time. Guests can either place their luggage outside their stateroom the night before for crew members to collect and deliver to the terminal, or choose express walk-off and carry their luggage off the ship themselves. Breakfast is typically available that morning before guests leave the ship. The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App will provide additional instructions and timing details.
