Our story began in the September of 2023, separated by thousands of miles and a six-hour time difference. Annalise was living in Hawaii, soaking up the island life and on a new adventure, while Zach was deep into his studies at law school in Virginia. Our paths might never have crossed if not for a mutual friend—Gabby. Annalise met Gabby during their time at the University of New Hampshire, where they bonded over their shared faith and love for fun, and became friends through Bible study. After graduation, she pursued law school in Virginia, where she met Zach. Recognizing their potential connection, she reached out to Annalise on September 17, 2023, with a message that would change everything: "I MET YOUR HUSBAND." Intrigued and excited, she connected us, insisting we had to be friends. From that first message, Zach and Annalise began talking daily. Despite the six-hour time difference, our conversations flowed effortlessly, revealing shared values, humor, and a deep connection. As Christmas approached, Zach planned a trip back to California for break. Annalise's family was going to be visiting Hawaii around the same time. Determined to meet each other in person, Zach invited her to come to his parent's house in Hollister, CA, so Annalise decided to join him there for the two days she had. Annalise arrived on Zach's birthday, jumping straight into celebrations with him and his family. The next day, they went on their first date at Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. It was that day that they made it official. The rest, as they say, is history. From that moment, our bond grew stronger, leading us to where we are today—engaged and excited to see what God has for us.
