We lived in the same dorm, hung out with the same crowd and even had a class together. We finally met in the lobby of our dorm hall at the end of freshman year at TXST. We hung out a couple times, our energy and future plans matched. We knew almost instantly God had a plan for us.

Zach planned a dinner with friends on the River Walk in San Antonio. It was pouring rain all day and I made sure to wear my rain boots. He took me to the amphitheater to “wait for our friends”. It was so beautiful and it felt like we were the only two people there. Huddled under an umbrella, he gave me a small present. Our adventure fund jar had 24 reasons why he loved me. He pulled the last one out of his pocket that said “I love you because I get to call you my wife soon”. When I looked up he was on one knee. I couldn’t wait to say yes! Our parents were hiding at the top and met a photographer hiding from the rain. He happened to have his camera and offered to photograph our engagement.
