This hike has it all! 6 mile out-and back trail through redwoods, grasslands, and ocean bluffs. About a 25-min drive from Monte Rio. Take Willow Creek Road to Pomo Canyon Environmental Campground to start the trail.

Pomo Canyon Trail to Shell Beach

Another great winery located in Fort Ross that offers wine tastings via reservation. About a 30-min drive from Monte Rio.

Fort Ross Vineyard Tasting Room

One of our absolute favorite restaurants that we always go to when in the area. A little bit of a drive from Monte Rio to Occidental but well worth it for this spot! Reservations recommended.

Hazel Restaurant

Awesome spot along Hwy 1 next to Bodega Bay. Must get the bbq oysters and clam chowder! About 30 min from Monte Rio. Perfect place to stop on the drive up north.
