The summer of 2014, I agreed to help choreograph Beta Theta Pi's lip sync dance. During the many hours of practice, I grew to know all the fraternity members except one...Zach. Little did I know that the only reason Zach wasn't talking to me was because he was secretly crushing on me. After helping lead the fraternity to their first-place victory, Zach was finally brave enough to talk to me. At a rush BBQ, we had our first in-depth conversation, and that's where it all began.

During an impromptu trip to Seattle, Sierra's most desirable vacation destination due to a particular show (Grey's Anatomy), I decided to give her a surprise that we'll think about every day for the rest of our lives. Sierra had been excited and wanted me to propose to her for weeks by then, so I had to be sure that she wouldn't see it coming. After a long day of sight seeing, I decided what our final stop would be: the Seattle Space Needle. With an undercover photographer waiting for us at the top and an unsuspecting Sierra in tow, we made it to the observation deck where I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me -- and she was GENUINELY surprised!
