Q & A

The Wedding Website of Zach Dawkins and Seania Overton
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Edit: RSVP is NOW CLOSED as of Sunday, September 15th, 2024 as mentioned on invitation and reminder texts! Final count has been confirmed. The sooner the better! Your RSVP is necessary in determining final headcounts for our multiple wedding day vendors including and most importantly FOOD. If we do not receive your RSVP by Sunday, September 15th, 2024, we will consider your invitation as declined and NOT attending. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The colors of white, cream, and burgundy will be reserved for ONLY the couple. Please come dressed to impress in your semi-formal evening wear as there will be numerous photo opportunities. As a side note, both ceremony and reception will be held in an outdoor setting. Dress accordingly for comfortability as far as sleeve, pant, and leg length and shoes.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Due to the ceremony being held outdoors, we ask that you respect our wishes of arriving at least 30 minutes prior to our 4pm start time. We do understand that things happen last minute. If that is the case, please withhold seating yourself as you will disrupt the ceremony.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a large gravel parking lot veering left of the entrance that has a walkway we prefer you to take once parked. Handicap and ADA compliant parking can be found by continuing to drive straight towards the barn and shelter area. Golf carts will be made available by Cedar Creek Ranch staff to provide shuttle if needed.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Plus ones are always a tricky topic when it comes to weddings. We asks that if the married couple to be is not aware of your wedding date by now, then this may not be the best time for first introductions.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding is a time of unity and combining both families and friends together. With that being said, please don't shy away from bringing them! Take caution that there is a decent sized pond in the distance of the venue that is off limits to guests as well as a fire pit and fire place. Alcohol will also be served openly. No promises on kid-friendly music on the dance floor!

Question

Will the wedding be dry or wet?

Answer

A licensed bartender will be openly serving two signature drinks, beer, and wine and will be accepting tips.

Question

Is smoking permitted?

Answer

Although our ceremony and reception are both outdoors, smoking of any kind is prohibited near the venue.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Food allergies are regarded with the utmost seriousness in this family. Please bring to either the bride or groom's attention any allergen concerns and we will find accommodations.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

TBD at a later date

For all the days along the way
