Zach and Rebeka both grew up in Elmhurst, IL. on opposite sides of the train tracks. They met one day their freshman year at York High School. Rebeka was partners with Zach's best friend Jake in a cooking class called Chef's Corner. Jake invited Zach to class, to taste test Jake and Rebeka's lasagna. Upon arrival, Zach was mesmerized by Rebeka's pure beauty and cooking skills, while Rebeka... did not notice Zach was even there. Zach and Rebeka ran in different crowds throughout high school - Zach was a Cross Country star, while Rebeka hosted the morning announcements and played Lacrosse. One day senior year, they realized they would both be attending North Central College in the fall. Zach would be joining NCC's Cross country team, while Rebeka would be joining the Lacrosse team. Little did they know they would be moving into the same dorm building, one floor apart. Zach graciously helped Rebeka move in and went as far to punch a hole through her school ID card, because "all of the cool kids were hanging their ID's from their lanyards." Zach actually ended up punching a hole through the censor in the ID that unlocked the doors and let Rebeka into the dorm building. So on her first day of college, Rebeka was locked out of her dorm, and had to spend $10 to buy a replacement ID. Though they started out rough, Zach and Rebeka became best friends. Neither Zach or Rebeka would admit they had a crush on each other, until one day it became overwhelmingly obvious. Their friendship naturally grew into love, and they have been together ever since. Now they are home owners, dog parents and soon-to-be husband and wife.
