I (Zach) actually saw her first. Within 20 minutes of actually meeting her pastor (now our pastor), he mentioned her to me. He took me outside and proceeded to show me Miranda's face on a portion of our big banner (over 60 feet long). He said "She's the face of Relevant" in a joking manner and also said, "no Facebook stalking, nothing. I have a plan." We go to Olive Garden after a Christmas service at church on December 21st of 2019 and we were still not introduced. As the morning approached and the first service ended at Relevant, Jace Hargrove (a dear friend and the youth pastor) says, "lets go." He takes me over there to her and introduces us and we chat outside until the service starts. Now we don't get each other's numbers or anything like that (mainly because she took off after church), we actually did the millennial thing and added each other on Facebook. I slid in the DM's on Monday, and a looooooong week goes by and she asks me how old I was after I asked her age... I thought it was over. I thought the chance was over. I'm a staggering 3 years and 2 months younger than her. Long story short, it's all good and we go on a date the next Saturday on the 28th of November, a week after meeting. I took her hiking to Inspiration Point and Camp Ondessonk to show her a waterfall. It was a great hike, we had beautiful views and conversations I'll never forget. On the way home, I had my arm behind her headrest and said "what is this?" Nothing really catches her off guard and this did. She asked me the same and I said, "It's a date." From then on... well... you know the rest of the story ... engaged ... and now we're all here!
We both want to personally thank every one of you in advance who visit the website, give us best wishes or even gifts. We are honored to have you in our lives. We both have many who are dear to us and we wish we could have everyone we know celebrate with us but "the 'rona" prevents that from happening. So we both appreciate every one of you so so much.
