We're getting married!

It all began...

in late February 2023 when Meghan came across the Hinge profile of a boy named Zach. She was met with smiling photos of him hiking, hunting, and fishing with a black and white four-legged friend at his side. Taking a leap of faith, Meghan decided to message Zach asking where his favorite hiking trails were to go to with his dog. Meghan was met with her first ever North Dakotan phrase in Zach’s response: “Oofta, that’s a hard one… but I would have to say the North Shore.” A few short weeks later, Meghan hurried along the streets of downtown Naperville for her first date with Zach; while Meghan was running a few minutes later, Zach had arrived forty-five minutes early. As Meghan walked inside Empire to meet Zach for the first time, she saw him from a distance sitting in a booth against the wall with a beautiful view of the Naperville Riverwalk. As her heart fluttered, Meghan sat down across from Zach, and was immediately intrigued with Zach’s accent trying to place him as either Irish or Canadian. A few minutes slipped into a few hours with both Meghan and Zach forgetting to order any food before Meghan had to leave to meet a friend. After they said their goodbyes, little did Meghan know that Zach raced home to get a burger that was the “best he ever had.” A first date turned into a first year of dating with the ultimate surprise of Zach proposing to Meghan on their one year anniversary in Golden, Colorado while hiking, a nod to the very first message Meghan sent to Zach. Though only a few seconds in time, Meghan remembers time standing still in the moment Zach proposed where her heart was set on fire for the certainty she knew of being married to him and at the love he poured forth to her that was selfless, free, total, and faithful. How blessed is she to have this love for a lifetime with Zach holding her whole heart for her whole life. Meghan and Zach ask for your continued prayers during their time of engagement as they prepare for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony where each grow daily in the practice of willing the good of the other and surrendering all fears, worries, and anxieties unto Him.
