Zach and Marissa met in 2016 at Big Barn Crossfit. Zach was just stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, training hard for his future career with the Air Force, while Marissa was working on her goal to pursue a career in Radiology. Over the course of a few workouts, they started to spend more time with each other after the class WOD’s. After a plan to go on a hiking trip with a friend failed, Marissa decided to ask Zach if he would like to join her so she wouldn’t have to go hiking alone. The first hiking trip was a success and more dates followed. Over the course of four years, Zach grew into Marissa’s family as she did with his. In January 2019, Zach got the opportunity to move to Kansas and pursue his dream career as a TACP in the United States Air Force. During the same time Marissa got accepted into Radiology school. A Long distance relationship became their new normal in order for both of them to achieve their personal goals. With trust, love, and faith their long distance relationship brought them closer. On July 3rd 2020 Zach got down on one knee, with Marissa’s family present and asked her to be his girl forever!
