I am the bride! I work with the on-air, radio talent at Westwood One. Have you heard of Kix Brooks from Brooks & Dunn, Pat McAfee and The Bob & Tom Show? Those are some of the programs that I works with on a day to day basis! I am a major fitness enthusiast, and a Bodypump and Spin instructor at the Chicago Athletic Clubs. I have run a few half marathons, a full marathon, a triathlon and a few Spartan races! I am the loudest person in every room. People describe me as a “challenger”, and I live up to that status every day. I’m high energy, obsessed with my friends & family, and LOVE to dance! FUN FACT: I got bucked off of a horse when I was 9 in the Rocky Mountains in Montana!

I am the Groom! I am a dairy commodities and insurance broker at Rice Dairy. I work with dairymen on a daily basis, which brings me back to my country roots, but I love the fast-paced lifestyle of the city. I like to work out... sometimes. A.k.a not as much as makenzie wants me to. I did the triathlon and the Spartan races with Makenzie, but I draw the line at (most) races over 3 miles long. I’m described as a “peacemaker”, and I am pretty easy going I’d like to say. I am a major Netflix, brewery and sports enthusiast. But I’m slowly, but surely, making the transition to becoming a Bears Fan. Better luck next year I guess. FUN FACT: I worked on a pig farm for 8 years!

I’ve known the bride since day one, she’s my sister, I admire her & I look up to her. Always have. We spent most of our childhood playing barbies or dress up. Whatever Kenz wanted to play that day 😉 I am quieter than Kenz, and not as high energy - but that’s why we fit together so well. In my free time, I like visiting local coffee shops. My talent is that I am extremely good at imitating people. I have two jobs while I figure out the next step in my career. I’m so grateful to be able to stand next to Kenz on her wedding day. We will be at our favorite place; the place we grew up together. Can’t wait to see dad’s presence shining down on Kenz & Zach. I know he’s celebrating with us and full of joy since one of his prayers got answered...that Kenz found someone who can handle her!

I’m Makenzie’s little brother, and probably the light of her life - yes even above zach. 😉 I just graduated from TC this past spring, and am going to be a freshman at TBD! Kenz and I bond over our love for watching and playing sports. I am so happy that zach is joining our family, and that I’ll have a brother! He’s so chill, easy to be around, and fits in perfectly with our family. I love you both!

I am Makenzie’s cousin and first best friend. Our early years involved endless hours at Cedar Lake, playing mermaids or cats and mixing/eating whole bowls of Fun Dip. As the years have passed our relationship has matured and it’s a relationship that’s very special. I graduated from Trinity Christian, and am now a nurse. I have two babies, Jayden (the ring bearer) and one on the way! My husband, Kevin, and I have loved being apart of Zach and Makenzie’s life and look forward to hanging out in the years to come!

I’m Mark, Zach’s older brother. Obviously Zach and I have been competitive all our lives, and still are. In sports, smarts and everything in between. I stayed in Grand Rapids, MI after graduating from Calvin College in 2014. I work in finance and love basketball. Can’t wait to party and celebrate Makenzie & Zach!

I am Cori Phillips, Makenzie's first cousin on her mom's side. I am a yoga instructor and a counselor. I have so many memories with Kenz, it's hard to choose a favorite! We have been fortunate to do a lot of fun things together, and have grown up together. Ironically, one of my favorite memories with her was one of the most simple; when I visited her for the first time downtown Chicago. Dinner, walking, talking, philosophizing, and bonding in a new way as adults. It was a great night. :) I have seen her and Zach's relationship grow, and have grown to love Zach as my own cousin. I couldn't be more happy for them!

I am Jake, Zach’s younger brother. And yes, I’m also competitive and also in finance. I graduate from Butler University this spring, where I’ve ran track for 4 years. I also get married in July of this year! Can’t wait for the other big, family wedding.

Hi friends i'm jessica - a scorpio from new jersey !! (lol). If you don’t know what that means, I’m not sure we can be friends. Being a Scorpio, and an “individualist” means has worked out well in makenzie and my relationship, because we match each other’s crazy. I work at Warby Parker, and am a big music enthusiast. I became friends with kenz our senior year when we were roommates for a semester in chicago. Then I moved in with the Vos family upon graduation & have been roomies in chicago with kenzo ever since! My forever roomie & dance partner - sad to see ya go but zach is more than used to having me around so not much will change!

Hi! I’m Holly. It’s in Kenz’s and my DNA to be besties as the predecessors of her mom and my aunt Lisa’s long-standing bestfriendom, which led us to be friends before we even knew it as toddlers. Our friendship blossomed during our time at Calvin and has grown even more as we now navigate life together as working girls in Chi city. Unparalleled energy levels and enthusiasm for fitness, food and, most noteworthy, FUN, make us the perfect dynamic duo. Eternally grateful for my friendship with both Kenz and Zach and their willingness to let me live in their basement someday.

Zach and I grew up together in DeMotte. We played sports together, and have just gotten to be better friends as we’ve gotten older.

Makenzie has been one of my best friends since 2007! This is a fun year because this is the only year that we will have been friends for as many years (13) in life that we haven't. Every year going forward, we will have known each other for more years than we haven't. One of my favorite memories with kenz is ridding on the boat, tubing with her dad every summer at the lake. From country concerts to cheerleading, kenz and I have so many wonderful memories. Today, I am an Emergency Room trauma nurse in downtown Chicago and am thankful every day for kenz continued friendship.

Zach and I met in college, and were roommates for 3 years. We’ve had some of the best times together, like snowboarding in keystone, CO for our annual boys’ trip. I’ve seen Makenzie and Zach’s relationship grow from the ground up, and I’m honored to be a part of one of the best days of their lives!

Hi! My name is laney and I’m honored to repay the favor in standing by my friend on her big day as she did for me! Makenzie and I met back in college and immediately bonded over our passion for sports, socializing, and margaritas. I work as a pediatric speech therapist at a children’s hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When I’m not working I love biking, cooking and watching crime shows on Netflix. One of Brett and I’s favorite weekend getaways is going to Chicago to visit Kenz and Zach and enjoy the city! I can’t wait to return on September 12 and celebrate!

I have known Zach since our childhood, elementary school days! Once I left DMC (DeMotte Christian) zach and I reconnected at Calvin College. We were roommates, and then housemates, for 3 years collectively. I also did chicago semester with Kenz. It’s safe to say I know these two very well, and have enjoyed watching their relationship grow.

Makenzie’s smile & energy can light up every room. I can‘t wait to see her flash that beautiful smile as she becomes a BRIDE! We’ve known each other since we were just little girls in Kindergarten at TC. It’s amazing to look back on all of the memories we have shared - summer days, long nights, afternoons leading the cheerleading team as co-captains & more. This girl has been a shining light by my side through it all. We have been there for each other through the good times & some of the hardest times of our lives. That being said, I am so grateful to have many cherished memories with Makenzie’s incredible dad, like tubing behind the boat at the lake and traveling to FL with our families.
