Question

Where is the ceremony/reception and what time should we arrive?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM on the lawn. Cocktail hour will follow from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The reception will be held in the ballroom from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. In the event of inclement weather, both the ceremony and reception will be moved indoors to the ballroom. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for seating and ensure the ceremony begins on time.

What is semi-formal and what should I wear?

Answer

Dress Code Guidelines: We kindly ask all guests to dress in semi-formal attire—think elevated and elegant, similar to country club style, but not quite black-tie. To maintain a cohesive aesthetic, we request that guests avoid bright or bold colors such as red, hot pink, neon yellow, or other vivid tones. Instead, we encourage neutral, earthy, or muted shades like tan, black, gray, navy, green, blue, brown, or soft pastels. To maintain the standards of our beautiful venue, we kindly ask guests to follow the Country Club’s recommended dress code, which we have outlined below. For Women: Knee-length or longer dresses are ideal. Dress pants paired with a stylish top are also perfectly appropriate. We kindly ask that attire remain modest, chic, and classy. We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing all white—let's save that special moment for the bride! For Men: A suit or dress pants with a button-up shirt is preferred; ties are optional. Jackets or blazers are encouraged but not required. Dress shoes, loafers, or a polished pair of boots are perfect—please no sneakers except for nice dress tennis shoes. A well-put-together outfit like a button-up shirt, blazer, and dark formal jeans is acceptable. However, if wearing jeans, we ask that you also wear a sport coat or suit jacket, especially for the ceremony, to align with the country club’s dress code. Dress pants or tailored golf pants are also welcome, paired with a button-down shirt. Polos, t-shirts, and shorts are NOT permitted. Will transportation be provided to the venue or is parking available?

Answer

Transportation to and from the venue will not be provided, so please plan accordingly. Rideshare and carpooling are encouraged due to our open bar. Parking is available at the venue.

Can I bring a plus one and/or kids?

Answer

Your invitation is addressed specifically to the individuals invited. Additional guests are not permitted unless explicitly stated. This is an adults-only event, unless otherwise noted on your invitation. Kindly review the names listed on your invitation to confirm who is included. If your invitation includes ‘and Guest,’ you are welcome to bring one guest of your choice. We just kindly ask that no children attend, except those who are specifically named on the invitation. Will food be served at the event?

Answer

Before the reception, there will be circulating appetizers and handheld cocktail bites. The main meal will be served buffet-style, followed by an assortment of desserts. An open bar will also be available throughout the evening.

Our wedding colors are centered around soft, neutral tones inspired by nature—think sage green, olive green, warm tan, sandy tan, and creamy white.
