The first time I saw him, we were both sitting at the same gate for a flight to San Diego. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he's cute. When I got to my seat, I saw that the seat beside me was empty and thought, how awesome would it be if he ended up next to me? Well, he did. We started talking, and then he asked for my number and we went our separate ways. I was certain I would never hear from him again. I thought about him often, but eventually he faded into the 'missed connections' category. A few months later, out of the blue, he sent me [a message that said] 'Happy New Year.' We hit it off like nothing ever changed. How did you two meet? Read Our Story! Who made the first move, and how? He made the first move by texting me on New Year's Day. A few hours later, we already had dinner plans for that week. Who takes out the trash? Whoever's closest to the trash :) What’s your most memorable date? We spent one of our first dates biking and then kayaking through the sea caves in San Diego. Our guide joked that a few hours in a shared kayak is enough to test any relationship—he was right! But we survived and that adventure remains one of our favorite memories. What's your favorite activity together? We love paddleboarding and biking in the park! Where are you headed for your honeymoon? Anywhere with beautiful beaches! Maybe the Maldives before it goes completely underwater? What's the best meal you've had together? We treated ourselves to a five-course meal in Paris. It was magical. What's the most memorable trip you've taken together? Last April, we got to see the Northern Lights in Norway. It was amazing!
