We met when we both got the same job at college. I was hired in before him and the first time I met him, I was helping interview him to join our team. In short, everyone agreed he should join the team so we were able to work together for awhile! It ended up being a terrible job and we both also ended up quitting. But, we found each other and I guess you could say the rest is history!

Zach proposed when we were in Ethiopia on a mission trip. Near the end of the week, we were at one of our good friend's (Mesfin's) house and we had just finished dinner. We were all talking when he started to say something and then got down on one knee! It was the sweetest proposal when he said "When we first met, you told me that half of your heart was in Ethiopia. I wanted to ask you to marry me in Ethiopia, so you could say yes with your whole heart" Then he asked me to marry him and of course I said, "YES!"
