FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your tiny humans, but this will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of the kiddos involved in the wedding ceremony. Think of it as a date night excuse :)

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue space and planning, only the guests listed on the invitation are invited. If your invitation included a plus one, we made sure to note it there!

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

The wedding itself will have an open bar- drinks are on us, so please come ready to celebrate responsibly and enthusiastically. The Welcome Reception the night before, however, will be at a restaurant with a cash bar, so drinks are available for purchase there.

Question

What if I don’t know how to line dance?

Answer

First of all, you can absolutely learn “The Bar Song” dance before the wedding if you want to come prepared. There will only be a few line dances throughout the night, and you definitely do not need to line dance to participate. Feel free to follow along badly, freestyle confidently, break out your own moves, or simply vibe on the dance floor however you see fit. *Please see "Things To Do" for list of line dancing tutorials on Youtube*

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Probably hot and dry (think desert). We did schedule the ceremony a little later in the evening in hopes that the sun will chill out by then, but July is going to do what July wants.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal/Cocktail

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

There will be some grass, so keep that in mind when choosing footwear. Also, please feel free to bring backup dancing shoes… or ditch the shoes entirely once the dance floor opens. This is very much a “dance all night” type of wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM. Please plan to be seated by 5:45 PM so we can get things started on time.

Question

Will there be options for dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes! Dinner will be buffet-style with a variety of options, including salads and a vegetarian option.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, but there is a large parking lot at the venue. Ubers can easily pick up/drop off there, and you are welcome to leave your car overnight if needed. We fully support responsible partying.

Question

What about parking?

Answer

There is a large parking lot at the venue, so parking won't be an issue. If you plan on taking full advantage of the open bar (which we sincerely hope you do), Ubers can easily access the venue, and cars may be left overnight if needed. We'd much rather see everyone having fun and getting home safely than worrying about their vehicle.

Question

What time is brunch the next morning?

Answer

Brunch is super casual! Feel free to stop by whenever you’d like from 11am-2pm. Stay as long (or as short) as you want, grab some food, recover from the dance floor, and hang out before heading home. We’ll have simple brunch foods and snacks available, nothing too crazy, just an easy morning together before everyone heads out.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests do not take photos during the ceremony. We hired wonderful photographers and would love for everyone to be fully present.

Question

Will there be late-night snacks?

Answer

Absolutely. There will be late-night snacks, cake, and other desserts because dancing for hours is basically an endurance sport.

Question

Are the weekend activities mandatory?

Answer

Not at all! The weekend activities are completely optional. They do cost a little extra money, so there is absolutely no pressure. If you want more information, or even if you’re just interested and thinking about it, feel free to reach out to Sidney (MoH) for details! (949) 257-6761
