It was a typical Saturday night where Jordann & Zach were looking for plans, so they both met up with a friend, who just happened to be a mutual friend. First, they started with a simple drink at a local pub, but as the night progressed, they were looking for more of a night out. So, they made their way to the Waukee Triangle where they enjoyed their first competitive game night of darts. It wasn't until some cheeky back and forth banter, numbers were exchanged, and a first date took place the very next week with sushi, wine and the Bachelor. It was only a short while later when Jordann moved in with Zach, and their whirlwind romance truly began.

"August 13th, 2022, you will all be here for the State Fair, right?" Zach questioned Jordann's parents and siblings' relentlessly months in advance. He had the perfect plan, or so he thought. Her family comes into town for the state fair every year, that's why they are all here. Jordann would not think anything of it. The Plan In the morning, Jordann's sister would take her to the Farmers Market in one of the girls' cars. Shortly thereafter, they would head to Easter Lake (where it all first began) for a long walk around the lake full of girl talk and what Jordann believed to be a vlogging day - something her sister frequently does and why no questions would be asked on what the camera was for. They would begin their walk at the boat ramp and head to the "Big Bridge". Zach would surprise Jordann right before the bridge where her sister would fall back and start capturing the moment. The proposal would take place in the middle of the bridge. How It Unfolded Rather than taking one of the girls' cars, they took Zach's car and headed to the Farmer's Market. Unknowingly, Zach went to retrieve the safe key, a key he had on his car key ring, to get the engagement ring from the safe that morning. At this point, Zach had no other option but to bring the safe to where he was going to propose. He had to retrieve that key from Jordann without raising suspicion. So, Zach told Jordann his mother was locked out of her house and needed the keys to get her in. With key in hand, he raced to the car, retrieved the engagement ring, and raced to where they were ultimately going to meet in his plan before she could beat him there - right before the bridge. Although it couldn't have gone worse for Zach that morning, the moment still landed ever so perfect. Jordann was still surprised with uncontrollable emotion throwing her hair down while murmuring, "Are you serious, is this really happening."
