The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. This means ladies should wear things like long gowns, cocktail dresses, and jumpsuits. Gentlemen, on the other hand, should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.
Because the wedding will be in early October, the weather should still be slightly warm. Of course, there is still a chance that our wedding could end up being a bit cooler, especially at night, so I would recommend bringing a jacket just in case. The fall season in Nashville is usually unpredictable, so there is also the possibility that it will rain. To prepare, you can pack an umbrella to take with you. In the instance that it does rain, the outdoor ceremony will be moved indoors.
The ceremony and reception will be taking place at the same location - Tuckers Gap Event Center. The address is 2900 Callis Rd Lebanon, TN 37090. The ceremony will be outdoors while the reception will be indoors. The ceremony will take place on a turf area, so you will not have to worry about getting your shoes dirty!
After the ceremony, the bride, groom, and our wedding parties, will be taking pictures. While this is happening, the guests will be escorted inside the reception area for cocktail hour in which hors d'oeuvres will be served along with drinks at the bar.
There is no particular theme for our wedding that you must coordinate with. As long as you are in formal wear, you are all set!
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP 'no' so that we can plan accordingly.
This ultimately depends on where you end up staying. Tucker's Gap is on Callis road, which branches off of Highway 109. There is a sign that indicates the venue as well. To make sure you're going to the correct location, I would search the address on google maps.
We recommend that you arrive an hour prior to starting time of the ceremony, which is 4 pm, so we can make sure everyone is on time and everything can take place as scheduled.
Tucker's Gap Event Center has plenty of parking available for you, and they offer on site valet as well as ushers to direct you as you are arriving! Parking is free, and will not cost you a dime.
While there will be close immediate family with kids present, we are planning an adults-only event for the most part, so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
We have a strict guest list in order to stay within a certain budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only, so we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
If you go to the travel link on this website, there are two different hotel block options. They are both going for around $100/night. One hotel option is closer to the venue in Lebanon while the other one is in Gallatin (closer to where my family lives). However, the Gallatin option is about 35 minutes away form the venue, so that is something to keep in mind.
You can RSVP on this website! Once invitations are sent out, I will make the RSVP tab public, and you will be able to do it at your earliest convenience. The deadline is September 1st.
Both the reception and ceremony are most certainly wheelchair accessible!
There will be food and drinks served after the ceremony. Our wedding will have an open bar for our guests who are 21+. For cocktail hour, you can expect a few different hors d'oeuvre options. Within your RSVP, there should be a meal option in which you can choose what you would like for the dinner portion. There will also be cupcakes for our guests for dessert.
Yes, we will have a meal option that is vegetarian/vegan for those who want it. We just ask that you specify this option on your RSVP, and let us know as soon as possible.
We are registered at both Amazon as well as Bed, Bath & Beyond. There is a registry tab at the top of this website that contains links to both of those registries. However, you are also more than welcome to provide a monetary gift which is preferable to us.
We are unsure as of this moment if transportation will be provided. Make sure to have arrangements just in case.
Because most of our wedding decorations and centerpieces are rentals, we advise that you do not take anything home with you other than the provided wedding favors.
Yes! We would love to see your pictures from our special night. Make sure to hashtag them with our wedding hashtag (#gettingthatW), so we can easily find them!
