Where to Eat in OKC

The Wedding Website of Hannah Homburg and Zach Bowen
Here's a list of some of our favorite places to eat around OKC! We love supporting our local businesses, and are proud of OKC’s growing food scene, so you’ll only find one (technically) chain here! Want something specific that isn't listed? Let us know and we can help you!

Prairie OKC

3 Northeast 8th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
, (405) 602-0894

This is Zach's brewery! If you get into town and want a quick brew, swing by and see what he's got going on! Beers change weekly, so you never know what you're gonna get (but it's always going to be delicious!)

Lunar Lounge

1114 Classen Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

A sci-fi inspired speakeasy, owned and operated by one of Zach's best friends! It's also home to some of our favorite cocktails, which change with the seasons. Wanna find it? Text us and we will give you some hints ;)

Not Your Average Joe

1227 North Walker Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

If you're looking for a great cup of coffee or small breakfast and want to support a local business with an incredible mission, look no further! Not only does NYAJ have a great cup of coffee, but they work to intentionally hire and support people with intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities - a mission near and dear to Zach and Hannah.

Neighborhood JAM

525 Northwest 11th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
, (405) 724-8149

A great spot for brunch! It can get busy, so "join the waitlist" early!

Cafe Antigua

1903 North Classen Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73106
, (405) 602-8984

Our favorite brunch spot! You can't go wrong with anything, but Hannah recommends the migas with a mazapan latte.

Ma Der Lao Kitchen

1634 North Blackwelder Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73106

When you take a look at the menu, you will notice a wide variety of food you've likely never heard of, but we promise - it's not made it onto NYT's "50 places in America we're most excited about right now" list or been a finalist for two James Beard awards for nothing!! The flavors on every dish are incredible, and the plates are small and shareable, so you can try a lot! We love the crispy rice, steamed catfish, and grilled beef especially.

Picasso Cafe

3009 Paseo, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
, (405) 602-2002

This is a great spot for brunch, lunch, dinner - anything! With lots of options for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike, everyone will be happy!

The Hall's Pizza Kitchen

1004 North Hudson Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73102
, (405) 600-1991

While this is our favorite pizza, it is also home to our favorite appetizer - the bacon jam pimento cheese!! They take reservations, and we highly recommend making them if you go with this option.

Bar Arbolada

637 West Main Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73102
, (405) 601-8659

Want a cute cocktail? There are lots of places in the city for that. Want a cute cocktail and also the best burger of your life? Go to Arbolada.

Chick N Beer

715 Northwest 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
, (405) 604-6995

This place is so unique, and something we are both proud to have in OKC. Imagine wings, but instead of your regular ol' buffalo, they're giant and inspired by different asian flavors. It's delightful and relaxed, and a great location to lots of things to do in the city!

Grand House Asian Bistro

2701 North Classen Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73106
, (405) 524-7333

This is not only a Zach and Hannah favorite, but has also been a Homburg staple for years. Want some quality, family style asian food? Look no further!

Iron Star Urban Barbecue

3700 North Shartel Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73118

One of our favorite places for some good, smoky, spicy barbeque! Hannah says "get the mac and cheese", because it's one of the best in the city!

Abel's Méxican Restaurant

5822 Northwest 50th Street, Warr Acres, OK 73122

It's a little bit out of the city, but we can't leave Abel's off the list! This is going to be your best bet for some exceptional, lowkey Mexican food, and we promise it's worth the extra 10 minute drive out of downtown OKC!

Boom Town Creamery

605 Northwest 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
, (405) 423-5419

The best ice cream! It's all small batch, made in house. We recommend doing a couple mini flights so you can try all the flavors at once!

Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store

1204 Northwest 17th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73106

Look, if you're from Oklahoma, or in the small radius of places Braum's will open a location (they won't go more than 300 miles away from the farm in Tuttle to keep their products fresh), Braum's is probably not something you think about as more than another fast food restaurant, but anyone who has ever had to spend time outside that 300-mile radius can attest that Braum's is high on their list when they come back. Whether it be a bacon cheeseburger, those crinkle cut fries, or one of their many variations of ice cream, you're gonna have a good time (and not spend more than $10!). If you're coming in from out of state and have never experienced this Oklahoma staple, you gotta make a stop! We promise you'll have no problem finding one near you!
