Zach and Eva met at Planet Fitness in 2023. Zach held the door for her and asked if she knew a good place to grab a post-workout smoothie. It came to be found out, he didn’t even like smoothies, he just needed a reason to approach her. After a few weeks of kindly exchanging glances and subtle waves between sets at the gym, Zach chose a treadmill next to Eva, and asked her out for coffee. She suggested they watch the Bears game instead, so they went to a bar called Heizman's in Naperville, and the rest is history. Over the next two years of coffee dates, card games, traveling and making memories, Eva and Zach fell in love. They learned that with each day spent in each other's company, they wanted to be together forever. In 2024, Zach and his cat Bogey moved in to Eva's place in Lisle. On August 29th, 2025, Zach asked Eva if she would be his forever. He proposed at a gazebo overlooking a pond, which they often visit to watch the swans, who fittingly mate for life. To his delight, she said yes! They can't wait to have everyone they love in one room, celebrating their love.
