They say 'I do'

It was summer 2011. Erica had recently graduated from Colorado State University, and planned to work for Accenture in the fall. By a small stroke of luck, she decided to take a summer internship at Anadarko. Zach was living in a downtown apartment and working at Anadarko as well. The first time Zach really noticed Erica was at the end of the summer. The interns gave a presentation to management and those who had mentored interns throughout the summer. Zach was impressed by Erica's presentation, and describes it as a "WOW--that girl" moment. A few months later, Zach asked Erica if she wanted to join him and a few coworkers for happy hour. That night was the first night of the rest of their lives.

Erica is a planner and hard to surprise. But Zach was up for the challenge. 2017 brought a lot of exciting new changes for the couple, but one of the big milestones was the purchase of their first home. Unbeknownst to anyone but the two, Zach asked Eric for his permission to marry Erica. Eric responded without hesitation, "What took you so long?" The two were returning the moving truck, and Eric was so excited he almost missed their exit. When the two arrived back at the house, Erica suggested the couple take a picture in front of the blossoming Cherry Tree. Before she knew it, Zach was on his knee. Hair a mess, sweaty, no makeup, dressed in moving clothes.... it was the one moment Erica wasn't expecting a proposal. The two embraced and tears of happiness ensued!
