Soda City Market
This is our favorite things to do on a Saturday morning in Columbia. Make sure to head over to Main Street starting at 9 am for the best local food, music and vendors.
The Vista
The Vista is one of the best neighborhoods for finding great food and drinks. If you're looking for a great dinner, local coffee shop or a fun night out, this is the part of town for you! We highly recommend Motor Supply Company, Small Sugar and Tin Roof.
Five Points
This is the "college town" part of Columbia. If you're looking for a local dive bar, great lunch spots or a cute boutique, then this is the place for you. We highly recommend Gourmet Shop, Jakes Bar and Grill and Home Team BBQ.
Main Street
This is the heart of the Capital City. This revitalized part of downtown has lots of options to see during the wedding weekend. No matter what you do, take time to checkout the Soda City Market. We also recommend Halls Chop House, Bourbon and Market on Main!
Columbia Riverwalk
Looking for a spot to relax and take in the sights of beautiful Columbia, SC. This paved walking trail along the Congaree River is a must see.
University of South Carolina Historic Horseshoe Tour
Take a moment to walk around one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country. The Historic Horseshoe is great for an afternoon walk or run. Plus it's the place where it all started for us, and where Zach continues to work today.
West Columbia
Check out this growing neighborhood right over the Gervais Street Bridge from downtown Columbia. There is something to do for everyone from enjoying the riverwalk to enjoying beer at a biergarten. Some of our favorite places are Weco Bottle and Biergarten, Savage Craft Ale Works, Black Rooster, and the West Columbia Riverwalk Park.
Riverbanks Zoo & Garden
Columbia happens to be home to one of the country's best zoos! If you enjoy viewing exotic animals and beautiful gardens then the zoo is for you!
Congaree National Park
The Congaree National Park is a quick 25 minute drive from downtown Columbia. Known for having some of the tallest trees in the eastern U.S., Congaree’s floodplain forest includes one of the highest canopies in the world. The park provides a sanctuary for plants and animals allowing a tranquil wilderness setting for walking and relaxing in. Take a stroll on the elevated boardwalk and see some of the wildlife South Carolina has to offer!
