A story that spans the better part of a decade, Zach and Carsen met while students at Purdue in 2011. They both knew each other and interacted often while running in the same group of friends. After graduation, Zach moved out to Texas for a while and Carsen moved out to Georgia. It was not until the two moved back to the city they now call home in Indianapolis that fate stepped in and created another chapter in their friendship. During a 4th of July block party at a local brewery, the two reconnected over shared stories and catching up from the "glory days" at Purdue. They spent the summer outside by Zach's pool and even got to go to a couple Purdue sporting events when Zach was not officiating football and lacrosse. As one month led to another, a friendly relationship grew deeper until and the two knew that they were meant to be together forever.

For centuries people have bonded over a love of wine; in this case it was the perfect excuse for a vacation that would bring the two together for a lifetime. While on a trip to Napa Valley California, Zach finally asked Carsen for her hand in marriage at the most adorable bed and breakfast in the area. The rest of the vacation was spent celebrating at beautiful vineyards and enjoying the best wine that Napa had to offer. Cheers!
