We first met at a mutual friend of our’s Halloween party. Caroline had dressed up as a “Trap Queen” which meant she had queen’s attire and mouse traps taped all over her outfit. At the time of this party, I had a mouse problem so, naturally, I had asked Caroline if I could get a couple of these mouse traps for our house.....silly me didn’t use this as a perfect pick-up line and it took two more years before our paths would cross again. We met, this time at a music festival in downtown Raleigh, and after talking for a bit that night, I made it my mission to find her on Instagram and ask her out. Unfortunately I’m very awkward and it took Caroline messaging me directly a few times before, and, FINALLY, on New Years Eve it took one final message from Caroline before I finally asked her out! And the rest is history after that!
