The ceremony will take place outdoors and may be slightly windy. Please come prepared to be outside for about a half hour during the ceremony. We also recommend arriving to Colorado at least one day early in order to acclimate to the altitude, as the ceremony will be held at 11,400 feet. The reception will be indoors, in the Warren Station of the Arts. The reception venue is a short walk from the River Run Gondola (about 5 min walk).
The weather in Colorado is unpredictable and changes sometimes without warning. However, July in Summit County is usually the warmest month, with the average daily high temperature being 69 degrees. The hottest day of the year in Keystone is usually July 16, so you can expect July 19 to be exceptional.
The nice part about River Run Village is that everything is close in proximity, so most condo buildings are going to be a great choice. In doing some research, we've found that condos in the Black Bear, Jackpine, The Springs, The Timbers, Lone Eagle, or Red Hawk Lodge seem to be the closest locations. When trying to gauge where you want to stay, look for properties closer to the Gondola.
In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have opted for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
