After a night of swing dancing in the DMC, we both joined a group of mutual friends in conversation. We found out we were in the same class and had a big exam tomorrow. Annika had studied for 11 hours and made a very long study guide. Zach had not started to study yet so he asked if he could take pictures of her notes, thinking he'd never see her again...that is until he reintroduced himself after the test the very next day:)

We officially started dating on January 7th, 2020, and we went on our first date on the 11th. Yeah we know we did it backward... we to O'Charleys and then we went ice skating. It was an incredibly awkward, yet amazing time.

We went out for a nice dinner where we ate entirely too much. Then we went to a park where we danced in a gazebo to the first song we ever danced to, Simple Gospel. After dancing, he poured out his heart and got down on one knee and asked "Do you want to spend the rest of your life with me" she said, "Yes… you got my parent's blessing?!"
