FAQs

The Wedding Website of Amy Johnson and Zachary Sanderson
We are SO glad YOU are here! We are sure you have a lot of questions regarding our wedding near Aspen, Colorado! We hope this page answers most of your questions!
Question

Will there be hiking?

Answer

So you may know Amy a little TOO well... You are NOT the first person to ask this question! There is NO hiking required.

Question

Do I need a parking or shuttle reservation?

Answer

We are only permitted 5 parking passes - this means 5 vehicles can drive up to the amphitheater parking lot. Outside of the 5 parking passes, you will have to park at the Maroon Bells Welcome Center at Aspen Highlands Ski Area (address is 75 Boomerang Rd, Aspen, CO 81601). If parking at the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, you will need to arrive 30 minutes early and take the Maroon Bells Shuttle which takes 15 minutes each way. The shuttle does require a RESERVATION to be made in advance. Those shuttle reservations can be made at this link: https://www.visitmaroonbells.com/maroon-bells-shuttle-reservations/ (ROUND TRIP SHUTTLE RESERVATION)

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

We ask that you wear your Sunday best! The Bells are one of the best backdrops for photos, so keep that in mind ;)

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not "registered" anywhere. We are both in our thirties and we have lived life and have a lot of things that most couples ask for. We love personal and thoughtful gifts and memories that will last a life time. We are only asking for money at this time - we are needing a new couch, and we are wanting to save up enough money to buy us a new house for our future kids to grow up in!

Question

How do I get to Maroon Bells Amphitheater?

Answer

From downtown Aspen, take Highway 82 West for 1 mile to the roundabout. Take Maroon Creek Road 4.7 miles to the Welcome Station, then continue 5 miles to the amphitheater at the end of the road—approximately 9 miles total from Highway 82. If coming from Glenwood Springs, take Highway 82 East for 40 miles to the roundabout and follow the same route.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Aspen, Colorado is a very expensive (and boujee) mountain town. We recommended searching in Snowmass (Village) or near Carbondale.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We are doing a very different type of wedding. After the wedding we are wanting to be with our closest friends and family that have traveled to celebrate our special day with us. Stay tuned for what that is!!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, we love all the kiddos!

Question

Will Hugo and Hawk be there?

Answer

Well OF COURSE! They are one of the most important things about our lives, and we definitely want them to be included in our special day.
