Zach invited Almasa to his birthday party in September 2019. She says that as soon as Zach opened the door, she knew. She was crushing so hard on Zach, in fact, that one of her best friends and future maids of honor said "Zach is going to fall in love with you." Fast forward to November, he is invited to Almasa's birthday party and all throughout dinner, the two continued to make awkward eye contact. The night flowed into a dance party at Features in Naperville and after talking herself into it, she decided to walk up to Zach and tell him how she really felt. Music blaring, Almasa leaned in and said "I'm about to say something stupid". "I think we're about to say the same thing" was his response. Cue the metaphorical fireworks and confetti bombs. Three months into their relationship though, the world shut down. They had to adjust to online learning, not being able to go out on dates, and the future seemed unsure. So what does this fresh 3 month relationship call for? Fostering a puppy. He came to the couple as Bruiser and 48 hours later, he was Finley. It wasn't long after adopting Finn that Zach and Mas decided to move in to their first apartment together. Since then, their cat, Dolly has been welcomed to their family as they've continued kicking ass in school and being each other's biggest fans.

For the annual Goodman-Brown Florida vacation, Zach and Mas stopped in Nashville on the way down. Towards the end of the trip, they took a walk over the pedestrian bridge that has a gorgeous view of the skyline and found a random young couple to take their photo just as they had done the year before. What Almasa didn't know was that Zach planned to propose on that bridge in her favorite city. He had written instructions for our photographer, got down on one knee, and asked her to be his wife. But he wasn't done yet! The next morning, he surprised Mas again by having her parents fly down to Music City and spend the day with them touring the museum, trying new breweries, and eating BBQ. We are so excited and can't wait to celebrate this day with you all!
