Frequently Asked Questions

The Wedding Website of Alexis Yciano and Zachary Brown
We've put together this section to help answer questions and provide important details for our wedding weekend. We hope it makes your planning a little easier, and we can't wait to celebrate with you! If there's anything else you'd like to know, please don't hesitate to contact the bride.
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love for guests to dress in black, black tie attire. As the ceremony takes place in a Catholic church, we ask that shoulders be covered and hemlines be modest out of respect for the sacred space. For gentlemen, a black or dark formal suit with a black tie is ideal. For ladies, a black floor-length dress or cocktail dress is perfect. Black accessories, shoes, and accents are encouraged. As the ceremony takes place in a Catholic church, we kindly ask that shoulders be covered or that a wrap, bolero, or elegant cover up be worn during the Mass. You're welcome to show off your full look at the reception! If you have any questions, feel free to contact the bride!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our celebration will be limited to the children specifically included on the invitation. If your child is invited, their name will be listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Guests invited with a plus-one will have that indicated on their invitation. If you received a single-person invitation, we kindly ask that you attend solo so we can accommodate everyone. If your plans change, please let us know when you RSVP.

Question

Will there be a Mass? Do I need to be Catholic to attend?

Answer

Yes, we will be celebrating a full Nuptial Mass. Guests of all faiths and backgrounds are warmly welcome! Non-Catholic guests are encouraged to participate in the responses, singing, and standing/kneeling along with the congregation as they feel comfortable. A program will be provided to help guide you through the Mass.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding a seat. The Mass will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, and we ask everyone to be settled and seated before the procession begins.
