The ceremony will start at 5:30 PM. We kindly ask that you arrive by 5:00 PM to get settled. Plus, we’ll have pre-ceremony drinks waiting for you!
We’re going for Garden Party Formal! What does that even mean? Basically, we’d love to see everyone have fun and express themselves in a beautiful garden of color. Think full-length or tea-length dresses or suits that feel a little extra polished. The ceremony will take place on the grass, and most of the wedding will be outside (weather permitting), so plan accordingly. Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the day - wear something that makes you feel like your best self!
Yes! We’d love for you to make a weekend of it with us! Our venue is also a cozy little hotel with a limited number of rooms; please reach out to Zach or Tia to reserve yours. The cost is $60 per person for Friday night and $120 per person for Saturday night. We’re covering a portion of the first night to make it a bit easier for guests who’d like to stay onsite. Unfortunately, there isn’t space for everyone to stay at Merrill House, but there are plenty of great options nearby, including local Airbnbs, The Royal Hotel, and Picton Harbour Inn. Yes; we’d love, love, love for you to help capture the joy of the day! We also have an amazing photographer who will be taking care of the big moments (and we’ll share all those photos with you once we have them). We just ask that you keep phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present with us <3
Glad you asked! The answer is YES — there’s an open bar! You’ll be greeted with welcome drinks before the ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour after we say “I do.” Wine and beer will be served with dinner, and then the full open bar opens for the party; courtesy of your favorite Aussie, Leroy. Hydrate responsibly, friends!
TBD, but trust us, there will be dinner, drinks, and canapés (aka fancy apps). Menu choices coming soon! If you’ve got any dietary restrictions, pop them in your RSVP so we can plan ahead.
There is free on-site parking available at the back of the venue. There should be plenty of space, but carpooling is always encouraged (and way more fun)!
We love your little humans, but this party’s adults-only. Think of it as your official excuse for a night off; cocktails encouraged, bedtime optional.
We know it sounds cheesy, but truly, your presence is the best gift we could ask for! We're so excited to celebrate with our favourite people! That said, if you feel inclined, we'd love a contribution to our little honeymoon fund to help us kick off married life with an adventure. We're planning a trip to Turkey and can't wait to explore (and drink all the Turkish coffee)!
