Yes, please complete this form: https://form.jotform.com/212285450465152. If you cannot complete in advance you will need to bring your proof of vaccination - this is now required for indoor dining and event spaces in NYC. If you are unvaccinated please let us know ASAP. We encourage you to download the statewide Excelsior Pass or NYC’s Covid Safe app, which will allow you to digitally store your vaccination card on your phone.
To be as safe as possible we have decided to ask that everyone, even vaccinated, test within 72 hours of the wedding (ideally as close as possible). PCR is preferred but an antigen (such as BinaxNOW, which can be purchased in most pharmacies) can be used if PCR is not an option. If you choose to use Binax we recommend using both tests in the box, collecting the second 24 hours after the first (https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/binaxnow-covid-19-antigen-self-test-kit/ID=300414527-product)
If you will be getting a test while in NYC these are some locations in the city: 1) There are many Quest Diagnostics locations in the city (near the hotels and venue!): Go to QuestCOVID19.com for locations and scheduling. 2) If you find yourself in Brooklyn, MedRite Urgent Care Cobble Hill offers PCR results within 18 hours: https://medriteurgentcare.com/cobble-hill-brooklyn/ 3) https://newyorkdoctorsurgentcare.com/ ; a walk-in Urgent Care near the Mondrian 4) CityMD urgent care locations are all throughout the city and they offer both rapid and PCR testing (often 48-72 hour turn around)
The majority of the wedding will take place indoors but we will head outdoors as much as possible (weather permitting). We have decided to decrease the event size. We will try to arrange seating with everyone's safety in mind as well.
Masks aren’t mandated indoors in NYC, but that could be changing and many venues recommend them. We will update if they become a requirement and, of course, anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask should absolutely do so. We will be providing masks as well, because what's a pandemic wedding without a monogrammed mask?
Please, please let us know if you aren’t feeling well! While we hope you feel better and will miss you, we won’t be offended if you have to miss the event because you’re sick!
Please, please let us know if you have any symptoms up to 2 weeks after the wedding or if you test positive for COVID-19.
There are SO many things to do. Please feel free to ask us for specific suggestions. Here are a couple of outing ideas (some may need reservations in advance): 1) Take a walk on the High Line (https://www.thehighline.org/: you'll need a reservation) and head to Hudson Yards and check out The Edge (reservations needed: https://www.edgenyc.com/en). You'll get amazing views of the city and can grab some food/drinks. 2) Head over the DUMBO (Brooklyn) by walking the Brooklyn Bridge (take the subway to City Hall and walk towards Brooklyn), grab lunch or drinks at Time Out NY Market (https://www.timeoutmarket.com/newyork/) and get some great views of the city. 3) Central Park is great this time of year: you could have a meal at Tavern on the Green (https://www.tavernonthegreen.com/), visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Central Park Zoo or just stroll and check out Bethesda Fountain, rent a row boat, the sailboat pond and Alice in Wonderland Sculpture.
Due to COVID we're keeping the gathering to the main event.
He’s not invited but he’s working on a plan to crash the wedding
Though we'd love to have the kids we have made the decision to make this adults only. We understand it's a holiday weekend so please let us know if there are any challenges. We can be flexible!
We will not be providing transportation TO the venue - we suggest taxi, Uber/Lyft, or it's even walkable. There is valet parking should you choose to drive. We will have shuttles at the end of the evening to return guests to the Mondrian or James hotel.
