There is NO PARKING at the venue (except for wedding party and immediate family). A shuttle service will begin at 2:30pm-3:45pm at the HEB down the road from the venue (@ 20725 TX-46, Spring Branch, TX, 78070). Please gather in the BACK area of the parking lot and look for a sign and balloons. Two white passenger vans will be making rounds. You will leave your car at this HEB, and a return shuttle will take you back at the end of the festivities (final exit schedule to be determined). If you’re staying in a nearby hotel/rental and cannot make it to the HEB shuttle, there is Uber/Lyft or taxi rides available.
681 Brand Rd. Bulverde, TX 78163. Google maps takes you to an address that isn’t far enough down the road. Go about another half mile along Brand Rd and you’ll see a well marked entrance on your left with balloons and a sign.
If you know us - and you do or you wouldn’t be reading this - you know that we aren’t necessarily “traditionalists.” So think of this wedding as more of a festival-like gathering. The ceremony will be short. Dinner, drinks, and dancing will be long. All events will be held outdoors at our wonderful friends’ family home. November in Texas is usually a beautiful time of year, if a bit chilly, so dress comfortably from head to toe!
The Harpers have so generously welcomed us and our entire families to celebrate this special day on their beautiful property. We ask that everyone be as considerate as possible and mind the recycling and trash cans that will be provided, and do pick up after yourself. Also, there are several exotic and expensive animals on the property that are strictly off-limits. They may come to the fence to say hello, which is great, but they are not to be touched or fed. All designated areas of the property will be well lit and marked, all other areas are strictly off-limits.
Being that the location is a little out-of-the-way for the majority of our family and friends, we invite you to camp out with us for the night. There will be a bonfire, smore’s and all the fun camping things. If you intend on staying the night, please bring any camping gear you think you might need; such as tents, sleeping bags/mats, camp chairs, picnic blankets, flashlights, stories, etc. Coffee and snacks will be provided in the morning. If camping is not for you, traditional lodging that is close enough for an Uber is recommended below. No matter what you choose, please be safe and DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. Also, please make sure you RSVP if you decide to camp! RSVP’ed campers will be invited to set up on the day of the wedding, well before the ceremony at 12:00pm.
As previously stated, campers will be welcome to drive out to the property and set up camp at 12:00pm on the day of the wedding. There will be people there to guide you to the camp areas. All usable areas of the ranch will be clearly marked and well lit, and with other campsites set up, you should be able to easily recognize where to set up *after* the ceremony should you miss the early load in. We prefer camping groups to stick together to minimize any destruction to the property. You MUST clean up after yourselves if you are camping. Don’t be sloppy (we’re looking at you, millennials.)
Dinner and dessert will be provided in the evening, and coffee and snacks will be provided in the morning for campers. We will provide water, beer (kegs), wines (boxed red and white), a variety of liquors (whiskey, vodka, tequila, rum, gin), and the common mixers. However, if you prefer something specific, feel free to bring whatever you’d like.
The Texas Hill country is beautiful and there are several rental homes in the area if you want a special experience. They come very affordably shared with a few friends and family. We highly recommend searching on Airbnb, HomeAway, and VRBO. Besides Bulverde, other nearby towns with several rental opportunities are Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Blanco, Driftwood, and North San Antonio. We blocked off several rooms at a discounted rate at a new Hampton Inn near the ranch- it is the Spring Branch/Bulverde location and is reserved under our names.
Since we feel we have the material things to start our life together, in lieu of a traditional registry we are asking for donations towards a honeymoon fund. We want to explore Italy, Greece, and surrounding countries. We have yet to cross an ocean together and can’t think of a better way to celebrate our union. We will be forever grateful for any contribution you can make. If you visit the “registry” tab on this e-vite, you will find a link that will allow you to directly deposit a contribution to our bank account. If you prefer PayPal, please use the email ZacCatanzaro@gmail.com; Venmo, Apple Pay, or good old cash or checks are great, too. If mailing, send to 2003 E. 11th St., Austin, TX 78702.
