Some times in an ordinary day, extraordinary events happen. We met at the infusion clinic Lindsey works at and it is also where Zac receives his monthly infusions for MS. During each months infusions, the two of us started talking, each month more then the last. Eventually, the conversation turned into a friendship. Lindsey's boss noticed the interaction between us, and well he did what any good boss would do and awkwardly put the two of us on the spot. it was quickly pointed out that we are both close in age, and at the time, single. Zac decided that though the location and circumstances were not ideal, that he would take the risk and ask Lindsey for her number, and later on a date.
At the same infusion clinic where our paths joined, and our relationship bloomed, became the same spot where our future was started. On a crazy busy day when Lindsey told Zac "today sucks" while starting his IV and infusion, became a day that is so incredibly special to us. While Lindsey was attempting to take Zac's IV out, Zac stopped her in her tracks and got down on one knee and ask her to marry him. Of course Lindsey said "YES"! The day was so much sweeter because Joshua was also able to be there and share in the joy of starting our little family. Love was continued right where it began. IVs, medicine, work, and illness is not the expected romantic "starry night" proposal that one thinks of, but there was no better place to show the love, commitment, and realness that our love encompasses. In sickness and in health is something that has been at the forefront of our relationship, but definitely not the focus.
