We're Getting Married!

Our story began in a very unexpected place, a local Buffalo liquor store, ironically when we were both barely old enough to legally shop there. Lily was buried in grad school applications, while Zac was mourning the loss of Bill Grays (his beloved fry cook job). During this transient part of life, our paths crossed as cashier and stock boy, and something clicked. With Lily expecting to move across the country at the end of the year, she wasn't in a mindset to find her soulmate. But after spending the rest of winter break inseparable, we quickly realized that saying goodbye wasn’t something either of us wanted to do. From there, the rest is history. Along with your usual couples hurdles like house chore banter or date-night dry spells, our relationship was additionally tested through a global pandemic, a year of long-distance, two cross-country moves, and even a few near death experiences (like when Zac slipped and nearly fell into the ocean during a hike along the Oregon Coast). Through it all, we continued to choose each other, learning how to persevere, grow, and move forward as one. Now, six years later, we’re ready for the next chapter. After growing up together through our sticky early twenties, we're excited to grow old and continue building a life together for decades to come. Thank you for being part of our story.
